I've always found that copying the CDS and replacing the queries onto a new screen is the way to go. Deleting a query deletes all information ever entered into that query. Making the old screen inactive preserves the integrity of the archive data.

This may seem like a very basic question but….. here goes. I have been changing a large number of queries, along with inactivating some to update active CDS. In the past I haven’t had problem, but this time, I think it would have been a better idea to “retire” the first screen and create a new one. The problem showed itself in PCI with the end user having difficulty finding the info from the deleted queries. We use PCI data sources and can view the screen in its entirety, the screen was corrupted and it appeared as if the data was missing.
What do you guys do in this situation?
