Hi Brent, We simply enter the dose range in the dose
instruction field. The nurse then charts what dose was actually given and
at what time. Example: Morphine 4mg….dose

was wondering how
some of you are entering orders with dose ranges in PHA: Do
you enter 2 orders: one for a 2 mg tab and another for a 5 mg tab, for ex., and allow the Nurse to select one
while disregarding
the other(s) or do you simply enter one order with the range of doses in the
Dose Instructions field and allow the nurse to adjust the dose? Other than looking to see if there
is an “*”
at the Dose Instr, is there a way to flag the Nurse that there is a range on an
order? Thanks
