Subject: [MEDITECH-L] printing MARs to "virtual" printer

======================================

We are C/S v5.5 sr2 and going live with eMAR and BMV this week. Our
struggle is with the MAR reports for downtime. We use a scripting product
with our other modules to run reports and spool them to files on our network
on a routine basis, ready for printing if necessary.

The MAR doesn't work that way. Apart from not being a stand alone NPR
report that we could run outside of the module, it will only accept a
Meditech-defined printer in the dialogue boxes, not any other defined
Windows printer. As such we are having a difficult time folling it into
printing to a file on the network, or even on the local PC.

How are other hospitals handling this?

Thanks,
Paul
