Hi All,
We have a few questions about insulin
1. Currently we don't change for insulin because we don't want to charge out
a whole bottle to one patient, we do not plan on going
with admin billing when we go live with the mar. Is there another way
that we can easily charge for insulin?
2. We occasionally get patients with an insulin pump. How do we document the
amounts they are getting on their basal rates? I
Figure we will use full document rather than scanning for the boluses. Has
anyone come up with a way to handle this?
3. We just started scanning the NDCs into the drug dictionary. We have
noticed some of the meds that are pre-packaged have a
Only 10 digit NDC numbers. Has anyone else come across this? Do we just scan
that number into the alt NDC field?
