I have used Double T's text window to default PHA Meds into the screen
for viewing/documented against-this does not update PHA or anything, it
is just connected to this intervention and screen).

I have not tried to print that window/text editor box?

Tomorrow I will look at mine and try to print it.

Mike,

When you View History, are the meds there?

Attributes that fill in CDS queries do four things:
1) Check to see if it should
2) Get the information that should default in
3) Display it on the screen P(R,S,....^#
4) Answer the query with the response

If it is displaying correctly while documenting, then the first three
steps seem to be working. If VIEW HISTORY shows blank responses, then
the 4th step is at fault.

If the answers are viewable in VH, then: Copy your NUR.PC.WORK report
and make the copy a "run time" version where the user can manually ID
the patient. You will need to remove some of the selects because when
you run it, there won't be a current intervention.

If the fields print, then it sounds like MEDITECH is trying to run the
output format of the intervention before the responses are being filed.
They will need to address this.

If the fields don't print, then perhaps MEDITECH changed the index or
field access in NPR. Again, they will need to help you.

So, FIRST>>> Check to see if the answers are in VH. If they are, then
your attributes are not the problem, and MEDITECH needs to address it.

Let us know what you find out.

Brian

L'ers, please help me if you can!! I have many angry nurses after me
and I need relief. I just went through the upgrade from 5.4 to 5.5 sr2
yesterday and the med section of my discharge instructions will not
print. A little history.....

The nurses used to fill out a paper discharge form using pen and they
had to write all discharge meds (time-consuming and there was a chance
the paper could get lost). I created a NUR Intervention with a screen
for discharge instructions. I used the macro from the Double-T website
to pull the meds into a text editor field. It worked great in
workstation 3.x but had issues in 4.x NUI. Our great friend Howard
Chase helped me tweak it so it would work (Thank you Howard)! I created
an output format on page 2 of the Intervention dictionary so 2 copies
would automatically print when the instructions were filed. Since the
upgrade, the meds pull into the text editor field no problem but they
will NOT print on the output format. I've re-translated everything and
nothing seems to fix it. Please help!! The report is a
NUR.PC.WORK.zcus.prt.... output format and the line attribute for
printing the screen is as follows:

[EMAIL PROTECTED],,,,,@td.act.ctr:0D]^screen_.=. "";
LC=%NUR.PC.WORK.prt.M.print.screen(screen)}

I think this attribute could be the culprit. Any ideas or advice is
greatly appreciated!! Thanks for always "saving my bacon" my L friends!
- Mike
