Hello,

We are converting to the Meditech System from Misys (formerly Sunquest) at our Hospital. I am helping to build the Lab module. We have come across problems trying to send RBC morphology from our Beckman Coulter 750’s to Meditech. The vendor was not helpful with upload/download codes for the RBC morphology. In fact, we have had problems getting proper upload/download codes from various vendors.

Also, when we do differentials, the tech has the option of resulting the automated diff or the manual diff if one was done. We seem to have a problem with Meditech on this issue. In Meditech, if a manual diff is resulted, both automated and manual diff will be verified. We tried a rule to auto report “NP” for each autodiff component if a manual diff is done. But this takes away the option to release the automated diff, if so desired.

Another issue we have is with labels. I cannot seem to have the label not advance between printed labels so that a blank label is not wasted. I entered “N” at the “Print Blank Label Between Patients” prompt. But a blank label is advanced between patients. And at the “Aft Lbl Adv Lbl?” prompt, you need to enter a “Y” at one component.

Any help would be welcomed.

Thanks,

Paul Assam
