What is your procedure for admitting ER patients to inpatient status while still allowing ER and the inpatient unit to access the patient. We are temp locating them to the department once we have a room number, the nurse departs the patient off the tracker, verbally notifies the registrar who then will admit and remove the temp location. Does anyone know of a better way? What kind of trackers do you have for registration? Thanks!
