We use Lifescan glucose meters and iSTAT devices, interfaced to Meditech via the Telcor - QuickLink program. We have only been LIVE a couple of months with the glucoses and less than that with the iSTAT's, but it seems to be running smoothly and to be working fairly well. The problems stem from nursing users side-stepping the barcode scanning and typing in an incorrect patient number, or scanning the wrong pt ID period. Otherwise, the technology and the interface works well. The person predominantly responsible for it is LCurb@ chw.edu, phone 805-739-3184. She would be able to answer more of the technical setup issues that I would.
