We use QuickLinc thru Telcor also for our POC devices in our ER. They
are from Biosite and we do cardiac panels and shortness of breath
panels.

We love it. Can't say much more. The nurse in the ER runs the testing
and the interface places the order and then results it. Lab is
completely hands off. Charges drop and broadcast reports print. Minimum
issues. Results go to our EMR.

We are just starting the Lifescan part of this project and I'm not sure
how it will interact with PCS.

We are C/S v5.5.2

We also use Lifescan,iStat and Avox meters interfaced to Meditech via
Telcor. Our Maternity unit also has a Chemstrip 101 urinalysis analyzer.
We have been using Telcor for years and love them. We have no problems
with any of these except for, as Janiece mentioned, nurses not scanning
in the correct barcode for the patient or typing in the wrong account.

Hope this helps!

We use Lifescan glucose metecose meters and iSTAT devices, interfaced to
Meditech
via the Telcor - QuickLink program. We have only been LIVE a couple of
months with the glucoses and less than that with the iSTAT's, but it
seems to be running smoothly and to be working fairly well. The
problems stem from nursing users side-stepping the barcode scanning and
typing in an incorrect patient number, or scanning the wrong pt ID
period. Otherwise, the technology and the interface works well. The
person predominantly responsible for it is LCurb@ chw.edu, phone
805-739-3184. She would be able to answer more of the technical setup
issues that I would.

Good morning all,
We are looking at POC devices for documentation at my hospital. I would
like to know what you all are using for these devices. What do you like
and dislike about it. Any information would be helpful. Thank you. Jo
