We use the bulletin board in our facility. It does not become a permanent part of the record, but is used in the way "post it" notes used to be used on the paper chart. HTML will be converted to attachments. The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== Hi Lorna, Our hospital is using the Bulletin Board feature in PCI. It is primarily used by our dieticians and social workers as a means of communicating to the physicians such things as dietary suggestions, progress on patient placement etc... (Sometimes they are also entering the information in the patient notes. They duplicate the information on the bulletin because they fear that the physician may not go in and read the notes) It is not maintained as part of the permanent record. The issue we are now facing is that we have implemented Clinical Review and this does not display the bulletin. We are working with Meditech for a custom to resolve this but even then - the bulletin will not be able to auto display - the user will have to click on a button (which won't have the ability of being "higher lit" if there is a new bulletin or an edit to an existing one). So therefore - the user will have to always check it. What they have to do now is access PCI to check to see if there are any bulletins and so therefore have to access two different modules for patient information. :( Our dietary and social workers do not want to give up the bulletin functionality. I would suggest if you are thinking about implementing Clinical Review in the future - that you consider the implications of implementing the PCI Bulletin Board. The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== Hello, We would like to ask users of Magic PCI if your organization is using the Bulletin Board Functionality and in what context. Are you using it as a communication tool and if so, are all messages preserved and become a part of your medical record? Or Are the messages deleted at the end of the visit with no existing archived copy except for the audit trail. Thanks. Lorna S.
