We are using that process. When the pharmacist leaves for the day the charge nurse enters medication orders and they are "unverified", but they do flow to the eMAR for documentation. The nurse does have to do an "override" on the Omnicell because "unverified" meds do not go to the patient's profile. The first thing the pharmacist does in the am is verify the meds. If there are any questionable meds that do not need to be given during the night the charge nurse does not enter them. We only have the charge nurse enter the medication orders after hours.
