Hi Judy,
We merely make a result comment in an existing test. The anti-A test is used
for the type and screen. When units are added to a specimen, we retype the
specimen we use and record it in a result comment in the immediate spin
crossmatch test of the first unit in that crossmatch run.
The comment goes something like this: 'BT verified by retype on [enter
specimen ID] by [current userID] on [date/time]. The specimen ID can then
reference a Meditech specimen ID from another part of the lab or list a
newly collected specimen's date/time of collection.

Hello,

Is anyone routinely doing retypes on your BBK specimens? How do you
have this built? We set it up to reflex to a new requisition when no
previous history is available, but that is messing up add-on orders from
OE. The add on orders are attaching to the retype requisition rather
than the original requisition.

Thanks,
Judy Hill
