Title: Co Signatures in NUR
Good morning all!
We are a 5.5 Magic facility. I am currently building the Nursing module and would like to know how others are handling co signatures in NUR. In particular for things like blood transfusions or code blue respondees. At our facility blood transfusions require 3 RN signatures. I built a CDS that's a pointer to the MIS DX for the nurse administering the blood to pull up whomever witnessed the blood with them. Changed my mind and just put three fields called RN Signatures since there really is no cosigning involved either way I did it. But, I don't feel comfortable with this as the choices might not have been accurately entered, or the nurses entered as witnesses, may not have witnessed the event at all. Since this is such a serious event and co signatures are required for everyone, I would like to know how others accomplished this.
