We are using two different versions of the Symbol - one runs the Iatric
interface because Meditech wasn't ready with point of care. It is really
stable but requires the end user to send data so it doesn't file and send
immediately. We haven't had a problem with them for durability or battery.

We also have the Symbol that runs Point of care technology and sends data as
soon as the user files. It has only been in use for a couple of months and
we have been working through problems with it. The problems are not
insurmountable but for users who had DG before they will see a change. This
uses terminal services connections.

Dear fellow L-Listers....
We are beginning the search for a replacement for our DG Handhelds and
wonder what devices are being used out there. Pros and cons welcome.
Cost and durability are issues. We would like to explore wired and
wireless options. Thanks.
