Hi Sandie,
We are set up exactly the same way. We opted not to go with pin numbers
because we thought the password layer was enough.

Sandie,

We are setup with electronic signature. When the nurse tries to enter
the
patient's MAR either via the Status Board or Process medications, it
asks
for the password. That is the esignature - that's it, no further thing
to
do. If a medication is administered, the documentation is signed, if
not, no
signature, maybe an audit trail or something though.

Hello Brainiacs,

Need to see if you can't give me a little of your knowledge.

We are magic 5.5 and are just setting up eMARS in TEST.

I pose two questions:

    1. Electronic signature VS No Electronic Sig

    2. If Electronic signature is set then what are the pros and cons
to
flagging for the Sig.

                                Entering a patients eMAR

                                               VS

                            Upon filing the documentation

Any advise you all have would be great. I appear to be flying in the
dark
on this one.

Thanks for burning some cells for me. ~S
