Thanks for everyone's feedback on this issue. However, I think I have found the problem. This is for future reference if any of you experience this. We changed an insurance to only require one occurrence code. Well, when they used that occurrence code it was getting confused with the required field of admission source too. So, I went back and added admit.type and then the values we have listed for admission source. This seems to be working and has resolved our problem. Hope this helps someone if they experience this in the future. For example, they are registering a patient and they get to the admission source field and select PHY, it prompts, the entry is not define.
