Hi Scott,

There is a Macro that you can use to do this. I believe this can be
found on the Iatric website under MUSE 2005 information. We use it on
several screens and it is nice! However.... as with most things in the
world of Meditech, there are a few caveats!

1) The ability to choose multiple responses only works if the user is
one the first line of the multi-line response field. Otherwise, F9
calls the old single-response function. (Not a big deal but can cause
some mild confusion on the part of the user.)

2) This macro actually replaces the standard program which monitors
keystrokes for <F9>, <F11>, <F12>, <F5>, etc... We didn't realize that
by utilizing this macro, we killed the <F5> recall functionality for all
of the single-line queries on the CDS. It still works for the multiple
line queries. This was a real big negative for many of our users who
liked the ability to recall the last response to compare their finding
to that last documented.

However... one of our ingenious nurses figured out quickly that once in
the screen, if you press <F11> and then cancel the exit, it returns to
the Meditech standard program and does not utilize the Macro! So now we
have nurses that automatically do that so that they can use the <F5>
key! (But at least it is their choice!)

Good Luck,
Kenny Whiteside

Hello All,
Does anyone have an attribute for a group response lookup in the NUI
4.x workstation which allows the user to select more that one option
while only doing 1 lookup. For instance, if the user did a lookup on
a
multiple field into a group response, they could choose option1,
option2
and option5 all while in the same lookup. We were thinking this would
save quite a bit of time on documentation. If anyone has anything
like
this and they wouldn't mind sharing we would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks,
Scott
