Yes, I am using the same macro Sharon sent me, works fine...for checkmarking in 5.5. I have not looked at the F5 issue, but I think my users would have complained by now about it if it didn't work. You can add an attribute to default the old response (either demo recall or not). Our administration goes back and forth from no demo recall at all to allow some queries to be demo recalled....(It has its place-but staff abuse it and do not pay attention to what they are documenting-I know, I do not believe it either)... The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== I am not using the macro on the Iatrics website but I was very interested in your remark about the recall not working after you use the checkmark key so I had to try it. I can still use the recall key after I do the checkmarking and move on. I actually would have liked the recall key to not be able to be used. We have disabled the ability to use it on a few queries and I can verify, staff are not happy losing that functionality. But our staff would not like to loose the ability to checkmark either. Amy Sims helped me figure out what changes we needed to make with our macro for the checkmarking to work. We had received the DTS in 5.4 test to fix another problem very early on so I don't think Iatrics Macro was even out there yet at the time I was trying to figure this out. We never did move the DTS live in 5.4 but of course with our 5.5 update, we will be forced to. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Kenny Whiteside Sent: Tuesday, August 22, 2006 10:02 AM To: [email protected]; Scott LaRosa Subject: Re: [MEDITECH-L] Multiple select on group response lookup in NUI 4.x All messages should be posted in plain text. I believe this can be found on the Iatric website under MUSE 2005 information. We use it on several screens and it is nice! However.... as with most things in the world of Meditech, there are a few caveats! 1) The ability to choose multiple responses only works if the user is one the first line of the multi-line response field. Otherwise, F9 calls the old single-response function. (Not a big deal but can cause some mild confusion on the part of the user.) 2) This macro actually replaces the standard program which monitors keystrokes for <F9>, <F11>, <F12>, <F5>, etc... We didn't realize that by utilizing this macro, we killed the <F5> recall functionality for all of the single-line queries on the CDS. It still works for the multiple line queries. This was a real big negative for many of our users who liked the ability to recall the last response to compare their finding to that last documented. However... one of our ingenious nurses figured out quickly that once in the screen, if you press <F11> and then cancel the exit, it returns to the Meditech standard program and does not utilize the Macro! So now we have nurses that automatically do that so that they can use the <F5> key! (But at least it is their choice!) The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== Hello All, Does anyone have an attribute for a group response lookup in the NUI 4.x workstation which allows the user to select more that one option while only doing 1 lookup. For instance, if the user did a lookup on a multiple field into a group response, they could choose option1, option2 and option5 all while in the same lookup. We were thinking this would save quite a bit of time on documentation. If anyone has anything like this and they wouldn't mind sharing we would greatly appreciate it!
