We noticed this scenario after upgrading to Meditech 5.5, with no change to our Pyxis software that I am aware of (we have Pyxis 2000 v 4.2). Previously, the FIX DC function worked correctly through Pyxis. That is, if an order was FDC'd, it became active again in Pyxis and at the Station as normal. However, since upgrading to 5.5, the FDC does not pass through to Pyxis. As Charlie states, it is a real issue when a patient gets discharged by mistake, and then fixed by UNDO. We in Pharmacy may not even be aware of what happened, until the Nurse calls and says that no meds are showing up at the Pyxis station. When we look, the meds are not on the patient's profile at the Pyxis console, either. What we have been doing as a work-around, is to do a batch Limited Edit in Meditech, such as changing the Stop Time to 23:59 (we have a default STOP of 30 days), which re-sends the orders back to Pyxis. On our system, editing the Stop Date or Time in Meditech updates correctly in Pyxis.
