We have TSG's Pyxis interface, however we also have a custom from Meditech
which reads the patient's location; if the Location (in the PHA MM Location
definitions) has the word Pyxis in it, then do something else.

Might be something to consider...

We are attempting to generate labels and dispense medication from the
pharmacy when a patient is transferred from a unit where the medication
was in a Pyxis unit (and therefore, not being sent from pharmacy) to a
unit where the medication is not in the Pyxis (and therefore needs to be
sent from pharmacy). I would like a label to print and for the system to
charge for only those medications that are affected....e.g if Medication
A is in both Pyxis machines on the different units and the patient is
transferred...no label will print. However, if Medication B is in the
Pyxis on the current unit and not in the Pyxis on the unit where the
patient is transferred, I want a label to print in pharmacy and dispense
through the current fill list. I have tried to get this done in test
with the following results:
  1. I get labels for all medications when the patient is
transferred.
  2. The dispense quantity on the labels is not correct.
It will say to dispense 2 on the label, but none charged. Also, it
will say to dispense 0 of a medication, but charged for 2. (It appears
the billing portion is correct, but the label information does not
match. In our customer defined parameters, in LIVE, we have our
"Transfer Dose Option" set to TRANSFER. We changed this in TEST to
DISPENSE and achieved the results above. Looking for a fix or guidance.
We are Magic 5.5 SR1. Thank you.
