Hi all NPRers
I had posted a question to the L about how to get some info into an npr from Pathology. I was not surprized to see no responses to this one but I am very close to the solution... here it is.
In fact it should work for any of the LAB DPMS. What I did is write a report in LAB.P.SPEC with the detail of lab.p.spec.specimen.file and in my case I wanted the specimen number so I placed it on a detail line then I made a second detail line with a call to the results loop like the lab report dictionary does. I noticed that when I printed the DATA structure of that loop report it said it required /urn and /LAB.C.RFMT.mnemonic. Ah Ha. So I went and made my own report format called CODES. I connected my new Pathology report format to my new LIS report format and took all the headers and what not off the format just leaving the loop. Then I went back to my npr and did a line check on the second blank detail line.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]/urn,"CODES"^/LAB.C.RFMT.mnemonic,
LC=%Z.rw.fragment("LAB.P.SPEC.std.results.loop.R","LAB.WES"),""
When I ran the report It had the spec number and just the info from the CODES report on it.
I know this is probably basic for some of you but. Today I'm feeling cleaverer than normal. Please dont burst my bubble. I'm not quite done yet.
Have a great day. Mark Champion
