Duke Medicine has made the decision to make all our facilities free of all tobacco products as of July 4, 2007. It is not just a Duke initiative, we are joining with other Triangle hospitals - UNC, Rex, & Wake Medical Center as well as 48 other North Carolina hospitals - 35% of our state's facilities.
We have started the process of notifying our staff - the public announcement was made on Tues.

Are there any hospitals out there that have gone Tobacco Free for the
whole campus (not just the facility) and included restricted patients
from smoking on the property too? If so, I have a few questions.
