Please post replies to the list. Has anybody thought up anything slick that starts with EMAR? I know that the nurse can look in the last dose column and see that the med hasn't been given before, but a warning message popup or something along those lines could be very useful. Sharon

Is anyone out there doing anything with with the JCAHO recommendation about first dose of Medication administration notification and/or documentation and if so, what?  Where are you documenting this--in the physician notes, with Medication reconciliation, in nursing, in pharmacy???
