[MEDITECH-L] PC Tablets for the Physicians

 We are a MEDITECH CS 5.5sr2 site, going LIVE with a pilot group for all components of PCM in January.  I’m interested in hearing from facilities that are up with any of the PCM products or in the process of implementing.  I would also like feedback on using Tablets in the Acute Care settings.

 

 

  1. When did/will you go live with PCM?
  2. How many beds does your facility have?
  3. Are your doctors employed or contract?
  4. How many physicians are actively using MEDITECH?
  5. How many physicians are currently live with PCM?
  6. Are you mandating the use of PCM facility wide?
  7. Did you roll PCM out in groups or as a whole?
  8. Did you change your Unit Staff from OE to POM for Order Entry?
  9. What type of Computer devices are you using on the Units for the physicians? (i.e. Standalone PC, Wireless Carts, PDA’s, Tablets)
  10. Are you experiencing any issues with device availability for the Physicians?
  11. If using Tablets how are you securing and re-charging them?
