Our core lab and special chemistry areas use these routines, saving
specimens in three locations. The largest is the general chem freezer.
Some areas like serology and micro do not use the system. I've attached
our dictionary entries so you can get the picture. We use barcodes to
enter everything, and the retrieval routines are excellent.

Hi,

We would like input from sites using Meditech's "Specimen Storage
Routine".

We'd like to know how you use the system and how you defined your
dictionaries.

A few questions we have are:

Do you have a central storage location, or does your site have
multiple
specimen storage locations?

Do you use the "Specimen Storage Routine" for all sample types or just
blood specimens?

Do you enter your specimens into "storage" by bar code scanning,
manual
entry or both?

Thanks in advance for you help!
