During accreditation would you not want to be able to say that in addition to having downtime policies and procedures, you have also practiced those procedures during regular business hours. A planned system downtime for the hospital Information System can be turned around into a good and useful incident for the good of the hospital, the patients, and the staff.

I was wondering if Randolph Hospital is the only facility that has a horrible time making everyone happy when to do the updates such as 5.5.

 

My understanding is that Meditech does it 9am Mon – Thurs or pay $$$ for 3 or 5 am Mon – Thur or pay More $$$$$ to have it done Sat/Sun 9am.

3 or 5am options are not available on Sat/Sun.

 

Most everyone is in agreement except for Diagnostic Imaging.  They want it done after 11 pm Saturday and before 8 am Sunday.

 

Can others tell me when you do the updates.
