Kathy,

We are running both rings successfully. We have a 78 bed hospital, 5 LTC
facilities and 16 physician and specialty clinics.

We are live with all modules including the eMAR, NUR documentation,
MDS/Careplans, etc.

We have a separate PHA module in our LTC ring, and our treatments (due
to lack of a TAR) are somewhat split between our mar and our
interventions. We have an enhancement request in for a separate TAR,
which is still being discussed.

I would be happy to field questions.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Acute vs LTC rings

Good day, Lers,

Motion Picture and Television Fund is a Meditech C/S v5.5 SR2 seeking to
speak to any facility that has accomplished either/or:

* Running an Acute and LTC ring simultaneously
* Interfacing a QS/1 Pharmacy system to Meditech

Motion Picture is a Long Term Care and Acute hospital with 5 large
outpatient clinics. We currently run only the acute ring but would like
to
investigate implementing the LTC ring as well, hoping it will satisfy
some
of the LTC documentation needs that differ greatly from acute. We are
also
curious how LTC facilities utilize the Pharmacy module and how MAR and
treatment sheet issues are handled.

We have many other questions and would really appreciate a contact(s)
willing to share experiences, both good and bad.

Thank you,

Kathy Romar
