We have all that except we do not have QS/1 interfaced to MT. It's stand alone
for us so we have no connectivity between MT and the meds for the LTC patients.
I have heard of others that do have some communication between LTC and Acute
Pharmacy. Try Linda Ring in Cynthiana Kentucky. [EMAIL PROTECTED] or

I can help you understand the ring to ring interface between LTC and Acute as
far as procedure orders and results are concerned. OE in LTC has to match
certain fields in OE in Acute for the integration to work. The data crosses
using the LTC and Acute care MIS inbox/outbox messages. You should be able to
move some of your assessments from acute to ltc and that way, not start from
scratch to build in PCS. This may not make any sense to you but I am willing
to help make it understandable. Been working with this since late 2002.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Acute vs LTC rings

Good day, Lers,

Motion Picture and Television Fund is a Meditech C/S v5.5 SR2 seeking to
speak to any facility that has accomplished either/or:

* Running an Acute and LTC ring simultaneously
* Interfacing a QS/1 Pharmacy system to Meditech

Motion Picture is a Long Term Care and Acute hospital with 5 large
outpatient clinics. We currently run only the acute ring but would like to
investigate implementing the LTC ring as well, hoping it will satisfy some
of the LTC documentation needs that differ greatly from acute. We are also
curious how LTC facilities utilize the Pharmacy module and how MAR and
treatment sheet issues are handled.

We have many other questions and would really appreciate a contact(s)
willing to share experiences, both good and bad.

Thank you,

Kathy Romar
Project Manager
Motion Picture and Television Fund
