Kim,

We go to 5.5 next Monday.  I’ll certainly be keeping an ear out for this!  This is not a good thing.

Subject: Meditech 5.5 & CASHIERING

Looking for users on Meditech 5.5 (we are c/s but magic please let us know) who are currently using Meditech’s Cashiering functionality!!

We went to 5.5 in September and since that time, we have had periodic slowness issues with accounts crossing from ADM to BAR.  Now that we are almost 2 months post-go live, it has become a daily occurrence and on some days we have been as far as 2 hours behind in accounts crossing.

For those of you using Meditech’s cashiering, you know that this causes point of service collections to go to downtime procedures because if the account is not present in BAR you can’t pull it up to post money to.

Meditech stated in my task:  “This is symptomatic of the 5.5 upgrade seeing as we accumulate 200% more data from the system to send to DR incase site ever decides to purchase this module.”

So I wanted to follow-up with the faithful L to see if others are having similar problems.
