Request: Sinai is seeking a vendor that can assist in implementing Meditech’s ABN/
Medical Necessity/LMRP process. Initially, our goal is to not buy other vendor
products but to maximize our use and MEDITECH tool sets with the following
deliverables in mind:
1. A manageable All Payor solution (not just Medicare related)
2. Bring Sinai Health System's system current with LMRP data/table loads
in MEDITECH, resulting in a manageable real time solution to keep the
system viable.
3. Maximizing standard reports or creating NPR reports that assist in managing,
quality controlling, and tracking from the front end when diagnoses are
triggering ABN's so that accountability processes can be put in place.
4. Assisting in developing through CDS's or expanding MEDITECH messaging
and online instructions so that when ABN's are triggered, immediate and
additional instructions/notices are triggered informing the ancillary or clinic
site that they are responsible for the "lost revenues" (or something to that effect).
5. Assist in managing/guiding the implementation process.
Sinai has had small scale pilot attempts in the past, but us wishing to maximize
and streamline the MEDITECH process.
