Hi - I am sorry I am going to be a little fuzzy about this, but someone at the
Western Regional MUSE conference presented a show and tell that
helped with getting IV's to appear on the eMAR. I am hoping that someone who
was there will remember and maybe that will help you out with the IV's as
well. We don't have eMAR yet, but I am reading all the posts so that I have an
idea of what kind of workload I will be looking at whenever we get it.
I did not know that there was not a way to indicate FS items on the eMAR. I
would be very interested in hearing about what you all come up with.
Thanks CIndy

[MEDITECH-L] CS 5.5 EMAR HELP
We are still a paper MAR, but we basically look at the inventory for the
order, and if it is anything but our main inventory (PI), PYX prints right
before the name of the medication. Is there someway that the e-MAR could be
set up to do this? If not, I believe that Meditech should incorporate
something like this. Another option would be to have orders with an
inventory other than main to appear in a different color. You would have to
look at each individual order's inventory though, because a lot of hospitals
like us may have a med stocked in Pyxis for stat orders, but send the
medication on a daily basis.
