Hi, Drew,

We purchase the codes from 3M (who purchased InfoX) and upload them into
Meditech. We get a new set of codes monthly. They email a link to an
FTP site and I download the change (add/delete) reports and the (zipped,
password-protected) update files; our charge master coordinator reviews
the changes and then lets me know its okay to upload them into Meditech.
If there's another vendor who supplies these codes, I'm not aware of
them.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Medical Necessity

To all

I am in the process of setting up Medical Necessity checks
inside of the meditech system. We are faced with the challenge of
inputting our LMRP/LCD codes and are wondering how other hospitals go
about this whether it is a manual entry or a 3rd party software. IF you
are using a third party software what is it and how does it interface
with Meditech.
