PFS controls all B/AR dictionaries as well as ADM dictionaries as well as some MIS dictionaries. Until last year, hospital Access and PFS staff answered to the same director, so it was all one department. We have 'super users', usually supervisors, who have dictionary access. All IT staff have access to all dictionaries, but primary responsibility for adds, changes, etc., lies within the individual departments. This holds true for the clinical areas as well.

Currently, IT controls the BAR dictionaries but we believe the department could be responsible for some of the dictionaries such as Remittance, Canned Text, Dunning Messages, etc. Does your Patient Financial Service department assume responsibility for some dictionary functions or all? What dictionaries do they control? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mattie Pankey Financial Systems Project Manager Calvert Memorial Hospital 410-414-4792 [EMAIL PROTECTED]
