Subject: RE: [MEDITECH-L] Diabetic Educator question/add info please

At Delnor we have an NPR report "Diabetes appt min by caregiver". This
does well for 1 on 1 appt. The problem with groups is that if you have 6
people in a 1 hr class you'll have 360 min, not 60. We can run the
report by appt type and do the groups manually. We are also able to
the report for each educator-resource.

DEE-please add where the date comes from, order entry/charges or
scheduling module?

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Diabetic Educator question

Hello L-Listers,

I have a dilemma for those of you who do any work with Diabetic
Nutrition
and Education Clinics. I understand that accreditation guidelines set
by
the ADA require that time spent per patient with diabetic nursing and
nutritional counselors must be tracked for both Medicare and
non-Medicare
patients. How are you handling this? We currently manually enter the
amount of minutes in queries in a PRV encounter. Is there any sort of
cumulative tracking that you have done in Meditech? Or how about an NPR
report that can be run from PCI? I'm not quite sure how that would
work.
Would there not have to be information entered somewhere from where the
report could pull? If anyone has any insight they could be willing to
share, please post to the list or respond to me individually. Thank
you.

Thank you,
