Good morning L'ers! We have quite an issue here that we are trying to figure out and I would like your input on how you are doing this at your hospital.
We have a patient registered in a pre-reg status for left cataract same day surgery. The pre-op nurse calls and documents all the history, JCAHO requirements, etc. etc. This information is filed. She then creates another visit, same thing, except it's for a different date of service for the right cataract surgery. The information that comes over to her pre-op assessment is information that was filed on a previous hospital stay, NOT the info that was filed 5 minutes ago!!
