Isn't it also unrealistic to think that your unit secretaries/nurses would have that knowledge? When we moved to POE, we determined that the physician would simply order the test they desired, and could enter in the comment (if they were aware), may use blood already in lab - or something like that. We expect the lab to determine if they have to do another lab draw.
