Hey Irish,

I was wondering where you had gotten to,

The trick here is to use the MS Access external data import routines to
do the work for you.

Steps:

Create a delimited report in NPR and save it to your hard drive as .txt
or .csv.

Create new database in access

Go to File|Get External Date|Import...

You should now be at a file select popup box, change the "Files of
Type:" setting from MS Access to Text files.

Navigate to your file and click on it.

The Import wizard screen will come up. The rest is intuitive.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Using Microsoft Access to pull demographic data
fromMEDITECH (ADM/ABS)

Hi,

Has anyone ever undertaken/accomplished the task of pulling Demographic
data (from say, ADM or ABS) into an MS Access database ? Is this even
possible with interfaces or off the shelf software ? Thanks in advance.
