We did not convert from anything we had the HCA version of Meditech and when we bought them out and went back totally to Sister of Charity we researched several computer programs. We decided to go with Magic and were a beta site for ORM. I have seen some of the other systems. When you are looking at functionality across the system if you are already a Meditech facility, the ORM is a good product, stable, and interacts with the other Meditech modules without having to purchase an additional interface for some other vendor. The reports are not as pretty and you may want a good NPR person to create and format in excel. We use a majority of the canned reports and have a few special ones for the administrative and financial folks. Patricia S.
