Hi Randy,

Yes, we are dealing with this issue as well. We've
been LIVE with BMV since October, and just this past
week have had our first nursing students come thru for
their clinical rotation.

As you've found, just removing the Acknowledge Orders
from the verb strip is not sufficient, since the
system will still allow a user to acknowledge an order
if they "SCAN MED" and scan an un-acknowledged order.

And, like you, I do not want to limit them to seeing
only acknowledged ones.

Since all meds given by a student have to be co-signed
by a second person (their instructor), and since they
are operating under her license, and she is an RN, I
have felt comfortable letting them use the system as
is. I definitely appreciate the option for 'CO-SIGN
ALL MEDS' for an access group option.

And a review of their med administrations for this
first week shows no meds were acknowledged by them!

Wish I could be of more help!
