Hi all, In September, I posted to the "L" making everyone aware that in NUR (Magic), if an intervention has directions that create a final occurrence (ie: Q1HX4), upon reaching the final time, Meditech automatically changes the intervention status to (S)topped. Once this happens, any past due flags that should be seen on the Status Board or in the Worklist disappear.... whether documented or not! This is somewhat like saying, "If its not done on time, it just doesn't need to be done!"
I asked Meditech to change the program to evlauate interventions at a (S)topped status for an additional 12 hrs since this would be the maximum amount of time the past due flags could be seen. Although our NUR specialist at Meditech agreed with my point, she said they were concerned that other facilities might not want the system to function this way. I then asked for and got feedback from 13 other hospitals via the "L". Since everyone agreed that the system should function this way, Meditech wrote two DTS's that have resolved this issue for us. These DTS numbers are: NUR 8396 and NUR 8445 Hope this information is helpful to others!
