Tracey:
I am not sure if this will help with PRE status's, but we had similar problems with ADM IN patients when we had to transfer them to another room for 1 minute to fix their room and bed's previous resident's account in ADM. So if Mullins,Bill is in room 100-A, we transfer him to 101-A to fix patient Boop,Betty who was in room 100-A prior to Mullins,Bill. We transfer a lot of patients to edit the prior account. This cause headaches for PHA and patient med orders. There is a PHA parameter that Meditech can set if you ask, it is on page 2 of the PHA parameters: # HRS UNDO FIX DC RX'S 24 I do not see any OA MSG for Pre In patients. But if you had a cds attached to the PRE IN routine or the Edit/PRE/SCH routine, you could send this custom OA MSG or report to the departments you want (print the report from the query). Good Luck, ________________________________ From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tracey Clark Sent: Tuesday, January 23, 2007 3:38 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [MEDITECH-L] ADM Pre Reg status change DC Pharmacy Orders. When we have patient at a status of PRE-IN and the Dr. has gone in and put his orders on for that patient. Then it is discovered that this is actually supposed to be an SDC patient. Admissions goes into the system and doe an Edit PRE/SCH Status to change the patient from Pre-In to Pre-SDC. This action then DC's all the drug orders that the Dr had put in. Has anyone else been able to get this to stop. We need to find a way to stop this from happening or at least a way for a notification to go to the Pharmacy department every time this event happens.
