We are having the same problem, with the same printer.
If anyone has a solution, please post. I have to believe there is a way
to solve this.
Rena,
Please keep me posted if you find a solution, and I will do
the same. I would like to compare notes. Below is our configuration for
IV labels.
We are using a 4" wide label that is 2" tall (The label can be
continuous)
In the NPR Reports we have the following settings.
Chars/Line 53 Lines/Page 14 Page Size 14
Chars/inch 13 Lines/inch 7
The printer is set to 1.99 " tall (This setting creeps down about a line
every 20-25 labels)
If I set to 2" tall, it "creeps" down after about 10 labels.
If I set to 1.98" tall, it "creeps" up after about 10 labels.
Is your set up similar?

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Need new label vendor for Pharmacy labels
Hi, all,
We have a Datamax I-Class label printer for our Pharmacy labels and
we've been finding that the printing will move up ever so slightly from
label to label, so after 25 labels, the print will be split between two
labels. The techs are having to cut the labels in the middle to get all
the info to put on the med bag. And sometimes, the line of print will
be right in between two labels, so the info is essentially lost,
obviously resulting in a patient care issue.
We've had our printers checked and re-checked and recalibrated a hundred
times, but when we finally studied the labels themselves, we found that
the black lines on the back of the labels didn't match up exactly every
couple of labels. This is what results in the slight movement from
label to label. Does anyone else have this problem? If not, what
vendor are you using for labels so we can switch? Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks!
