Eric - I'm not sure that I understand. A prompt to update allergies only comes up if someone has changed something in the administrative data screen in nursing. Also, why would you want a report, since you are prompted to update anytime you attempt to enter a medication after a change to the administrative data screen. As far as the allergies appearing, this comes from your customer defined parameters (PHA Pat Cus Def Screen PHAPAT). The only real problem for pharmacy is that if a patient's allergy information hasn't been updated during the current admission, you will not be flagged and you can't tell because of demo recall. All, I am trying to figure out what causes Meditech to display the MRI allergy screen to pharmacists at the onset of order entry when the MRI allergies have been updated. One of our initiatives is to get the pharmacy (coded) allergies entered ASAP after MRI allergies are entered/updated. But we don't want to wait until we try to enter an order for the notification. So what I would like to do is to set up a report to run hourly, include the algorithm regarding the pharmacy alert, and inform the pharmacists of patients that need the coded allergies updated. Any clues?
