We currently have a two Windows Terminal Server cluster that is running
250 Thin Client and TS connections. In testing, I have had 350+
individual sessions running on a single DL360 HP server. The servers
each have 8GB of RAM, as that is the piece that gets used most, not
necessarily the processor power. We run nothing more than Meditech. If
you start adding other applications, especially Windows apps, the number
of simultaneous connections is reduced quickly.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Thin Clients

Dear Meditech Users,

Good Morning! I am inquiring to see if there are any implementations of
Meditech using Thin Clients and Windows Terminal Server 2003? If so,
approximately how many active thin clients are able to connect to each
Terminal Server? Any issues? Suggestions? We are testing Linux based and
Windows XP Embedded SP2 thin clients using RDP for communicating to MS
SERVER 2003 load balanced Terminal Servers.

Thank you so much!!
