Angel Medical Center is recruiting for the position of Clinical Informatics Specialist
AMC is: - A 59 bed community hospital located in Franklin, North Carolina. - Converting from two Alpha servers to four OSAL servers in March 2007. - Currently running Meditech Magic 5.4 and scheduled to upgrade to 5.6 in June 2007. - Scheduled to start EDM implementation in July 2007. - Planning for future implementations of eMAR, BMV and PCM. The Clinical Informatics Specialist shall act as a liaison between the hospital's clinical areas and the IT department. This includes the primary responsibility of determining the needs and requirements for clinical applications in acute and ambulatory healthcare settings. The Clinical Informatics Specialist will also lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of clinical systems. This individual will work with staff and physicians to optimize the usage of clinical systems through education and training, quality outcomes, and providing support in accordance with organizational goals.
