Hello and Happy Friday, Brian. If you have a data repository, you can make your own Infection Control software. Please excuse the shameless self-promotion, however, I am giving such a presentation at the International MUSE Conference in May. If you cannot attend the conference the presentation will definitely be available afterwards on the MUSE web page, or contact me directly. Alternatively, you can create NPR reports and download the reports into tables in Access, then write queries for your Infection Control staff to keep on top of things. Presentation Information: IC'y (icky) Things You Can Do With Your Data Repository Session: 2011 Presenter: Doug Hiteshew Organization: Johnson Memorial Hospital, Franklin, Indiana Abstract: Has the Infection Control (IC) nurse at your facility computerized his/her workload? Or is your Infection Control nurse still partially buried under stacks of lab and nursing reports trying to find, and keep on top of, the MRSA's, VRE's, Nosocomial Foley Catheter Infections, Central Line Infections, etc.? This presentation will demonstrate several data repository solutions for Infection Control reporting, and will make you a hero at your facility. Can you please let me know what Infection Control software your hospitals are using? We are looking for a system that can integrate with Meditech LAB and OR+ using HL7 messages rather than uploading ASCii files. Is anybody using Iatriscan for ECGs? Any recommendations or warnings would be appreciated. Brian Roberts Financial Applications Specialist Information Technology Dept.
