We started out with all pre-op documentation done in the ORM because we didn't
have PCS up and running when we implemented. After we implemented PCS we
switched some documentation so that it would be consistent no matter where the
patient originated. Some patients start in ED, MedSurg Floor, OB or SDS - we
wanted the Pre-op documentation to be the same so we used PCS for that portion
of the documentation. We did have some resistance at first, but it is working
now.

Subject: Re: [MEDITECH-L] C/S 5.5 SR2: ORM Documentation

Hi Dianna,
We are currently documenting all Pre-op Assessments in ORM. We created
CDS's for these Assessments and have created CDS Tabs as part of the
Surgical Profile for several areas as well. So far this has worked fine
for us and all documentation is part of the Surgical Profile in the
EMR.
Good Luck.
Rebecca

Hi All, I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has pre-op
documentation done in ORM. Currently we are dcumenting all pre-ops in
PCS and they would like to move their documentation to ORM. What
standard screens are you using? Customs?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
