We also have our OP Rehab on PCS. We first changed it that
recurring patients were discharged once a year and now not
at all, unless there has been no activity for 30 days and on
day 31 the acct is dismissed. This has worked out well. I
admire your staff, that's a lot of extra work every month.
If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know.
I can also get you in contact with our OP Rehab area to
answer any questions.

We are Client Server 5.5 SR2 and last year we implemented
PCS in our Outpt PT.
It is like trying to fit a round peg in a square hole.
We auto-discharge Recurring patients at the end of every
month for billing purposes, and this is a huge problem for
PT because each month the have to add a new Standard of Care
and rebuild the Care Plan. MT says a future release of the
software will allow you to copy a Plan of Care to a new
visit, but I believe it will not copy Modifiers.
They are getting by with a ton of work-arounds, but it's not
the best fit.
Let me know if you'd like more info and I can hook you up
with the person who built the documentation for OP PT.

I was wondering what other hospitals were using for their OP
PT department? We are a Meditech CS hospital and have been
looking at other third-party companies because for a little
bit of money, you can buy a system that is setup and
designed just for PT.
I was wondering what other hospital have done and it they
are using RAD and PCS to do their Care Plans.
