Warren,
We have had similar issues.  Meditech gave us a couple instructions to
reduce the problem.
1)  Avoid sharing printers between telecom and MIS print jobs.  If must
share printers, stagger print times to help prevent multiple print jobs at
the same time.
2)  Configure printers to not accept multiple connections.  On many of ours
there is a setting we needed to disable...I think it is called something
like "mult-tcpcon".
 
These did help us.

Just wondering if any other Magic site are having problems when printing
these reports. 
Nursing will go into the Print Patient Profile and select their location. 
We then have random printers getting (NUR Print Queue locked) and/or in MIS
Print Scheduler the printer 
Kicked to Released status.  We print these around 0700 in the morning with
numerous other Scheduled 
Jobs kicking off.  We then have to call Meditech to clear the locks.
