We auto discharge at the end of each calendar month. This works Fabulously for the Billing Department but creates huge problems clinically:
1. Ongoing problem with users in ADM, LAB, PCS, OE choosing the wrong RCR account because there are so many RCR accounts out there 2. Outpatient PT/OT dept documents via PCS, and each month when a new visit is created, they have to clear their worklist, rebuild it, and then rebuild the Plan of Care, including modifiers for each patient - quite cumbersome.
